Strocon and Plettenburg Air Treatment & Ventilation proudly present their latest innovation:
The Compact Biofilter, the sustainable solution for air quality in livestock production.
This revolutionary biofilter offers groundbreaking technology that dramatically reduces ammonia, odor and particulate matter. With impressive results:
This way, the Compact Biofilter responds to the urgent need for cleaner air.
The operation of the Compact Biofilter
Ammonia, odor and particulate matter emissions are reduced by treating the ventilation air in a biofilter. The biofilter is a container with a quantity of wood chips, the packing material, through which air is passed from bottom to top. Below the packing material is a (lower) pressure chamber, so that the air to be treated can distribute itself over the entire surface of the biofilter. For the biofilter to work properly, the packing material must be moist. Therefore, the biofilter is periodically humidified using sprinklers attached on top of the bed. To reduce the influence of weather (rain, sun), a shelter is installed above the biofilter. When the biofilter is applied in multiple layers one above the other, the ventilation air to be treated is pre-wetted in the (lower) pressure chamber.
The advantages of the Compact Biofilter
1. The unit is as the name implies; compact. Because the unit consists of several layers on top of each other, a large intake surface can be created. In addition, the unit is fully airtight and insulated and made of high quality materials.
2. The modular design allows the biofilter to be easily adapted to both existing barns and new construction projects.
3. The Compact Biofilter makes your farm compliant with legislation, but also contributes to a more sustainable future.
